Day 449 – Lenora Hume

Lenora Hume

Lenora Hume was the supervising producer on the TV series Star Wars: Droids and Star Wars: Ewoks. Both of these series aired from 1985 to 1986.

Hume talked about the different looks at the Ewoks and Droids series in this article at SYFY:

They were really quite independent production entities with totally different crews on them. They even were produced overseas in two different countries. Droids was done in Korea ,and Ewoks in Taiwan, the actual animation production,” Hume said. “So all the preproduction, posing, and keys and all of that was done in Canada and then it was shipped to both those countries with supervision over there from Nelvana. We had animation directors on site and effects people and all of that.

After her work on these and other animated series Hume became the director of international production at Disney in 1990. From 1998 to 2003 Hume was senior vice president of production for Walt Disney Television Animation. She later worked as senior vice president of worldwide production for DinseyToo Studios and the executive in charge of production at HIT Entertainment.
