Beru Whitesun Lars, along with her husband Owen, were moisture farmers who raised Luke Skywalker on the desert planet Tatooine. Shelagh Fraser was the first actress to play Beru in A New Hope. Bonnie Maree Piesse played Beru in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
The short story “Beru Whitesun Lars” by Meg Cabot in From a Certain Point of View was told from the perspective of Beru. If you thought there wasn’t more to know about Beru this story proves you wrong. The character of Beru also appeared in a few issues of the Star Wars main comic showing off an irritated younger Luke and a frustrated Owen. What Mom can’t relate to this image honestly?
