Dantooine Digest #3

Welcome to the third issue of Dantooine Digest – you can catch up with previous issues here.

If you’re looking for a podcast to listen to during your Star Wars: The Clone Wars re-watch (or first watch!) head over to the Dorky Diva Podcast. They are taking a close look at all of the seasons of TCW – they just wrapped up Season 4.

One of the hosts of The Dorky Diva, Savanna Oudit, is highlighting female creators (Star Wars and otherwise) this year which also should be inspiring to follow. You can see those posts on her twitter account @thedorkydiva.

Star Wars Celebration Chicago will be here before you know it!

I’ll be highlighting the work of artists who are scheduled to appear at Artists Alley at Star Wars Celebration Chicago in the next few issues of the Dantooine Digest. First up – Brian Rood.

You can find Brian’s website with example of his work here.

Some of the Star Wars books Rood has illustrated include A Leader Named Leia and The Last Jedi Movie Storybook.

He also did the cover art for the book On the Front Lines.

And he’s doing the illustrations for the upcoming book The Skywalker Saga.

If you are a fan of Star Wars Rebels (or film/story analysis) and you haven’t read of any of Abigail Dillon’s close readings of the Rebels episode “Twin Suns” – you’re really missing something.

It’s truly something special and you can find all 11 parts of this close read here.

I recently watched the original trilogy films – and now I want all these posters.

I’m digging through my ridiculously eclectic Star Wars collection this year for #3StarWarsCollectibles – and this week I took a look at Darth Maul.

I have a bunch of fast food Star Wars toys and this Darth Maul is one of my favorites. It also scoots across the floor when you pull the black plastic thing I lost 10+ years ago out of the back of it.

I mean, I guess he has legs, kind of?

The most recent episode of Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures Fun Facts is all about the Force. I think these Fun Facts videos do a great job of presenting a lot of information in a very short period of time. I hope to see a lot more of them!

If you have a recommendation for the next Dantooine Digest the DMs are open on the @365_StarWars Twitter account.

MTFBWY!
