Jira ran a fruit stand in Mos Espa and was friendly with a young Anakin Skywalker in The Phantom Menace. Jira appeared in The Phantom Menace and many young reader books that were based off that film including Episode I Adventures 6: The Hunt for Anakin Skywalker and Catch That Pit Droid!
Actress Margaret Towner played Jira in The Phantom Menace.
